About

Sept 2023

I am a first year PhD student in Linguistics at The University of Chicago.

Before coming to Chicago, I was a Baggett Fellow in the Linguistics Department at the University of Maryland, College Park, where I was advised by Dr. Masha Polinsky and Dr. Aron Hirsch. My research there centered around Syntax with a primary empirical focus on Kaqchikel, a K’ichean Mayan language spoken in Guatemala. I also have projects on Exceptive constructions in Thai (Kra–Dai), QP syntax, and multiple Wh- in Turkish (Turkic).

I completed my B.A. in Linguistics (2023) at The University of California, Santa Cruz. My undergraduate advisors were Matt Wagers and Jess H.K. Law.
